Our Story
More than fifty summers of families, fishing, and quiet evenings on Deer Lake.
Pineridge began with a simple idea — that a few cozy cabins on the right lake could become a place families come back to, year after year, generation after generation.
How it began
Once upon a time, back in 1971, Bob & Gail drove down the winding road into Pineridge and felt they'd left the cares of the world behind. Before them lay the aquamarine waters of Deer Lake, a sandy beach, and a row of cute cabins at the water's edge, all surrounded by stately pines and birch.
They'd been looking for a new direction — a quieter way to raise their kids. Pineridge happened to be for sale, and by the summer of 1971 they were running the resort. In 2014, their son Steve and his wife Wendy took over, proudly carrying on the family legacy.
A place that stays the same
Over the years we've been lucky to host some of the world's nicest people — and now their kids are bringing their kids. From that very first summer, a small sign in each cabin asked guests to be conscientious of their surroundings, and thanks to everyone's care it's made a difference.
While much of the world has changed, this little corner of the Northwoods has stayed remarkably the same. We're proud of Pineridge, and we'll keep it a sanctuary for anyone looking to leave the real world behind for a little peace and quiet.
